			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>First and foremost, you <strong>MUST</strong> realize this Anxiety attack for what it is when you are having one. Understand that you <strong><em>ARE HAVING AN ANXIETY ATTACK,</em></strong> and that it won&#8217;t last forever. Most attacks only last anywhere from a few minutes up to no longer than a half an hour. Give or take.</p>
<p>Even though it may be difficult, try to lay down and <strong>RELAX.</strong> If you can&#8217;t lay down, sit still, close your eyes and focus on slow, even, breathing. This will help ease the symptoms somewhat. Not completely mind you, but enough that you can make it through.</p>
<p>The <strong>REAL</strong> trick in battling Anxiety is to redirect your train of thought. Keep yourself as busy as you can and let the thoughts of fear of an oncoming attack melt away. They will. And the more you practice this reversal of thought, the better you will get at it and be able to manage your Anxiety attack better the next time you feel one coming on.</p>
<p>If anxiety becomes too much to manage on your own, you need to seek medical assistance quickly. Don&#8217;t feel stupid for having to call an emergency squad. That&#8217;s their job! These courageous folks get calls like this <strong><em>ALL THE TIME</em></strong>, so you shouldn&#8217;t feel the least bit of embarrassment or guilt in needing their aid.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When people are in the throws of panic attacks, they really cannot deal with the situation at hand. Here are some anxiety relief ideas to follow when you are experiencing one of these attacks:</p>
<p>It matters little whether you feel bewildered, unsteady, unreal or frightened. These feelings are merely an exaggeration of a normal body reacting to stress. Try to be as comfortable as you can without escaping. Try taking in a deep breath for the count of 5, hold it for 2 seconds and let it out for the count of 7. This deep breathing technique will replenish the oxygen in your lungs and brain and help you relax.</p>
<p>If you happen to be on a street, lean against a store wall or a post and do the breathing technique. If you happen to be at a store&#8217;s cosmetic department, try finding a quiet counter or corner and take some very deep breaths and even close your eyes. I have also found that sometimes a stall in the restroom can be a quick escape.</p>
<p>What you do not want to do is jump into your car and drive home in fear from the panic attack.</p>
